Dr. Ken Ujifusa serves clients of all ages in a casual, confidential, flexible setting. Utilizing an integrated medicine approach that combines such techniques as Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Motivational Interviewing, Dr. Ujifusa helps achieve improved wellness for his clients, whether working one-on-one or with couples.

For over twenty-eight years my passion has been to assist clients in taking control and establishing a wellness-oriented lifestyle that is balanced, less stressful, happier, and more fulfilling. I consider it a privilege to have worked in a variety of settings including hospital, school, rehabilitation, employee assistance, court service, performing arts, and private practice helping others improve their well being.
I enjoy creatively personalizing my approach to each individual client. If beneficial, I also incorporate fitness coaching, music, humor, and other unique therapeutic tools into our sessions. In my practice I prioritize authenticity, simplicity, and confidentiality. I find it important to create an atmosphere of non-judgmental support, calm energy, and creative productivity.

What Can I Expect from a Therapy Session?
Sessions typically involve conversation and potentially involve additional techniques such as guided imagery or hypnosis, physical activity, and music. Individual sessions are typically scheduled for 50 minutes; couple sessions can either be conducted in 50 minute sessions or 75 minute increments. Appointments can be made for weekdays, weekends, or evenings.

Potential clients are encouraged to schedule a FREE 30-minute consultation. I prefer to meet with new clients in person at my office. This initial consultation can be anything from a conversation about the logistics and options of therapy to a session that delves into a particular topic. This is entirely up to the client in collaboration with myself. During the initial consultation we can discuss the duration and frequency that makes the most sense for ongoing appointments.
